Developed back in 1870, the Atlantic City Boardwalk maximizes the city’s coast front with a four mile long wood planked stretch filled with family friendly and adult oriented diversion. Filled with shops, restaurants, bars and carnival style games there is always a buzz on the board walk. The action centres at the two most popular piers – the Steel and Central Piers – that have carnival style rides on them. More adult oriented fun can be found at the casinos that dot the board walk and the various night clubs and bars that help built Atlantic City’s reputation for all night long fun. The Boardwalk is accessible at all hours, though visitors to it should be leery of pickpockets and other petty crime.
